I hope many of you took advantage of the opportunity to get up close and personal with our fire services. The trucks were on display and availalbe for close viewing, including the most recent purchase. Our volunteers had displays and provided a bbq with proceeds to the local foodbank. It was also an opportunity to learn about this group of volunteers, their training and the important role they play in our community. Another event was the pumpkin carving extravaganza at the Tin Smith Museum. This was lots of fun and well attended. This museum, and the volunteers who keep it going, reflect life in our village then and now.
