Community Loses a Special Community Leader Volunteer

Tue Jun 20, 1:05 AM

Marilyn Babineau - 1944 - 2017

It is hard to imagine Marilyn was leading the Tin Shop Museum Team in preparations for a new season just 6 weeks ago... She was a fighter to the end... Also providing instructions and directions to her two Tin Shop buddies Jeanne and Betty.

Marilyn was involved in so many things for so many years.  Hay Days / Canada Day - In Hants Craft Show and Sale - her beloved Tin Shop Museum - she was awarded East Hants Volunteer of the year in 2012...

  • President East Hants Figure Skating Club
  • Member of the PTA
  • First female President of the Coop Board
  • An avid Supporter of her beloved # 87 - Sydney Crosby (#87 Sweater hung in her hospital room)

Marilyn owned and operated Marilyn's Beauty Salon and the Family operated J-Mars Gift Shop.

She was a talented Artist and Crafter and you can still see her work in the Craft Shop at the Tin Shop Museum.

Family was her love and passion - her children and grandchildren...

Marilyn will be sorely missed by a community that loved and appreciated her...
